A note from the Chair:

“The single biggest thing you can do to support democracy is to become active in your local Democratic party…”

Friends,

I’m often asked why joining the committee and paying dues matters. The simple answer is that this work only happens when we do it together. The single biggest thing you can do to support democracy is to become active in your local Democratic party.

Membership dues are what allow us to stay visible, organized, and effective. They fund the basics that make a real impact possible. They pay for meeting spaces, voter outreach materials, communications tools, and support for candidates who share our values. Just as importantly, dues signal commitment. When we show up as members, we demonstrate to candidates, partners, and our community that this committee is serious, stable, and engaged.

Joining also gives you a voice. Members help shape priorities, decide where energy and resources go, and build the kind of local Democratic presence that turns values into action. This is how we grow leadership from within and ensure our county is not an afterthought in larger races.

If you believe local organizing matters, want to strengthen Democratic infrastructure where we live, and want your voice counted, I encourage you to join and to keep your membership current.

Thank you for being part of this work.

In solidarity,
Bill Robinson, Chair
