Subcommittees and special positions help our group do the work needed to advance the goals of the IOWC Rural Democrats. Your work is crucial to our aims. Reach out to take a position based on your skill set, or to learn something new! We offer training where needed, and support every step of the way!

Administration

Secretary’s Team

The Administrative Team handles keeping our records and information up to date. Tasks include:

  • Keeping the group calendar

  • Maintain records

  • Draft meeting agendas

  • Write meeting minutes

  • Write and send official communications to state parties and national leaders and to our friends outside of the committee.

Budget and Finance

Treasurer’s Team

The Budget and Finance Team keeps our financial house in order. Under the leadership of the Treasurer, this subcommittee will:

  • Maintain the budget

  • Plan for future expenses

  • Track expenses and income

  • File reports for transparency and accountability

Fundraising

Engagement

Engagement Subcommittee Lead’s Team

The Engagement team is where our ground game grows strong!
Engagement team members are responsible for:

  • Recruitment and Membership Drives

  • Events, Days of Advocacy, and Special Actions

  • Outreach (Post Cards, Flyers, Phone Banks)

  • Door to Door Canvassing

  • Visibility Team

Communications Subcommittee Lead’s Team

The communications team helps us connect and reach out, keeping members informed and growing our presence. The team is responsible for:

  • Email communications

  • Website management

  • Fundraising through online merchandise sales

  • Publishing our newsletter

Information Systems & Technology

IT Subcommittee Lead’s Team

The Information Systems and Technology team leads the way on our data organization, member privacy and technical presentation. They keep us online and safely growing! Their responsibilities include:

  • Managing our digital file storage

  • Maintaining access to our tech

  • Maintaining our tablet and livestreaming equipment and live streaming our meetings.
